The Dynamics of Acting/Acting Dynamically

Sundays-Nov 9, 2008-Jan.11, 2009 10:00AM-12:00 P.M.  Post Theater

Students will study basic theatre crafts, characterization, improvisation, script analysis, scene development, audition technique, proper use of voice, body movement and various other essential elements of the actor’s craft in an extraordinary workshop setting. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes which allow  freedom of movement.

 Beginner Adult Tap: Ages 14 and up

Mondays-Oct. 20 - Dec. 22, 2008   6:00 -7:00 P.M.  Post Theater

Learn proper tap dance technique while performing new routines and combinations each week.  Great fun! Great exercise!  Who knows?  You might even wind up on stage in one of RTC’s musical productions this season.

 Little or no tap experience--O.K. *Tap shoes required!

Advanced Adult Tap

Mondays –Oct 20- Dec. 22, 2008   7:00 -8:00 PM   Post Theater

Come and meet those dancing feet! Tap along with experienced RTC dancer/choreographers.  Have fun improving your tap technique and learning new combinations. Tap experience and some degree of proficiency is a prerequisite.

   *Tap shoes are required!

Exercise Thru Dance:

Wednesdays- Nov.12, 2008-Jan. 14, 2009 7:00-8:00PM

 Sweat to the oldies! Have fun getting a total body aerobic workout while learning actual dance combinations.  Move at your own pace, gaining strength as weeks progress.  Dance your way to better health.

*Sneakers and a towel are required for this class.

Ballroom Dancing

Thursdays –Nov. 13 2008- January 22, 2009   7:00-8:00 PM   Post Theater

Note: There will be no class on Dec. 25 or Jan 1,

These classes will take place on Mon. Dec. 29, and Jan. 5 at 7PM

Have you ever wished to be a star on the dance floor at a party? Learn what the stars have learned on “Dancing with the Stars” This class will focus on the basic techniques involved with American style Smooth and Latin Ballroom dancing.  Men and Women will work both as individuals and as couples.  This is a basic class, so don't worry if you have never danced ballroom before.  In each class you can expect to both watch others dance and take part in the dancing.  Learn the Cha-Cha, Rumba, Swing, Waltz, Tango and Fox-trot .  Feel free to bring your own partner... Register with a spouse, a friend, or significant other.  No partner?  No worries...We’ll find one for you.  Great fun- -Great “together time”

 Stagecraft and Theatre Tech

 Sundays-Nov. 23-Dec. 21      9AM-11AM                                Post Theater

 The backbone of any theatrical production is the tech team. In learning the art of technical       theatre you will be introduced  to all its technical aspects as well as principals of design,         building and painting of  scenery and props as well as hands-on work on lighting consoles,           plugs lamps, clamps, microphones, mixers, and all tools of carpentry, lighting, sound  and      theatrical technology in general. *Please note this is a 5 week intensive class.

  Two hours per session   Instructor-Andrew Woodbridge   Tuition-$100.00

A minimum number of pre-registered students is required for each class!

There is a $30.00 non-refundable registration fee. This is a one-time fee which covers the cost of advertising and administering this program. It is paid only once by each student regardless of the number of classes the student registers for. Registration fee is only refundable if all classes for which a student registers are

cancelled. Please bring check made payable to RTC to first class.
