The Craft of Acting

Sundays Jan. 13, 20, 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24 and March 3, 2019
10:00AM - 12:00PM

Students will study basic theatre crafts, characterization, improvisation, script analysis, scene development, audition technique, proper use of voice and body movement. There will also be a segment on the art of directing. Repeat Students-Welcome! Comfortable clothes + shoes are a must!

2 hour sessions

The craft of Set Construction

Sundays Jan 6, 13, 20, Feb. 17, 24, March 3, 10, 17, 2019
12:15 -3:00 P.M

Learn proper theatrical design techniques and how to construct theatrical sets and props from master theater craftsman, Anthony Homsey. You will learn basic carpentry skills, what tools are best and how to properly use them while building the actual sets for the RTC’s Young People’s Theatre Workshop Production and the opening mainstage production. Some basic carpentry skills are helpful but not required. Repeat students are welcome as are first time registrants.

90 minute sessions

Beginner’s/Intermediate Tap

Mondays Feb 4, 11, 18, 25, Mar.4, 11,18, 25 2019
7:00-8:00 PM

Learn proper tap dance technique while performing new routines and combinations each week. Little or no tap experience is O.K.

Although these are adult classes they are open to any members of the RTC Teen Workshop class who wish to take either class.

Intermediate/Advanced Tap

Come and meet those dancing feet! Have fun improving your technique + learning new combinations. Some tap proficiency is a prerequisite.

Not sure if you are beginner or advanced? Come to the first class at 7 and let the teachers decide which class will work best.
