Friends and Patrons,

The RTC Executive Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that the vacancy left by the Late John Gilleece is no longer vacant. The position of Artistic Director will be assumed by the Director/Actor/Teacher/Designer Frank Caiati.

Frank’s seat on our board will now be occupied by the talented Artist/Designer/Costumer/Webmistress Danielle Rose Fisher-Panepinto.

Both Frank and Danielle have been integral members of our organization since they were teens and we are delighted that both have accepted their respective appointments. While we still grieve the loss of our previous Artistic Director, we know that John would very much approve of the successor that has been selected to lead our company.

Friends and Patrons,

The Rockaway Theatre Company family is profoundly sad to announce the passing of our esteemed Artistic Director and leader, John Gilleece. In his long tenure as our Artistic Director, John not only brought countless plays and musicals to life on our stage but influenced generations of theater-lovers and theater-makers. His talent and enthusiasm inspired people of all ages to fall in love with performing, but more importantly his heart-of-gold offered us all a second home within the RTC. We will miss his unmistakable laugh in the audience and his trademarked announcements before every performance.

We will miss his unwavering commitment to this organization and to each of us personally. There truly was no one better.
We love you so much John. ❤️🤍🖤
